Company Pension

Our Company pension allows our team members to plan for their future after work. You can join our pension from day one of your employment with us, or you may be automatically enrolled in your 3rd month of employment in line with Government Legislation.

Our plan is operated via Salary Sacrifice deductions meaning you save Tax and National Insurance deductions on your contribution and when you contribute, the Company will make a contribution also in line with your employment terms.

Online Discounts - My Salary Extras

We want to ensure our team member’s get the best value for money by taking advantage of discounts with well-known high-street retailers. Our salary extras website allows you to purchase gift cards with a discount which can be used for things like your weekly shopping or for big household purchases. The website also offers you discounts on days out at places like Alton Towers, the cinema and even every day expenses such as breakdown cover.

Employee Assistance programme

As part of our Great Place to Work initiatives, we are pleased that our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available to all Cromwell team members.

We recognise that it’s not always easy to balance your work, personal and family life, and that’s where the EAP can help you better manage any issues you may be experiencing.

The EAP can provide you with practical information, advice and counselling and is staffed by a team of highly trained and qualified professionals who are trained to listen. You can be confident that the information you receive is accurate, up-to-date and relevant to your circumstances.

Holiday Trading Scheme

We believe that work/life balance is really important for our team members and know that sometimes you may need additional time off for life events such as weddings, holidays or just to have a rest.

We allow our team members to purchase up to 5 days of additional annual leave per year and also carry over up to 5 days of annual leave from one year to the next. Holiday purchase is paid for via a salary sacrifice arrangement meaning you save tax and national insurance on the cost of any bought holiday.

The Holiday Trading application window opens once a year for you to choose how many annual leave days you want to buy for the coming annual leave year.

Cycle to Work

Cromwell’s Cycle to Work Scheme (also known as the Bike Scheme) is a Government backed initiative to encourage people to leave the car at home and bike to work instead.

As a reward, you'll not only reduce the cost of travelling to work, you'll save up to 42% in Tax and National Insurance (NI) by paying via Salary Sacrifice.

Team Members are able to sign up to the Cycle to Work scheme each spring and can use a voucher of up to £1,000 for a bike and accessories.

Welcoming a new addition to the family is a precious time and one that we want our team members to enjoy. We support our team members by offering enhanced Maternity & Paternity pay so that you can plan for your time off with your family.

Enhanced Sick Pay

No one likes to be ill, and when you are ill we don’t want you to be worrying about your pay. Cromwell offers team members Company sick pay so you know what you will be paid if you are off.

Company Sick Pay eligibility is based upon your length of service to the business and is applied on a rolling 12 month basis

Healthcare Cash Plan

It’s important to us that we look after the health and wellbeing of our team members and our Healthcare Cash Plan does just that! Your cash plan is funded by Cromwell and provided by our trusted partner who are one of the oldest and largest healthcare cash plan providers in the UK.

Private Medical Insurance

Our Private Medical Insurance offers eligible team members the ability to access a broad range of treatments quickly when they need it the most. The scheme is designed to treat acute medical conditions through a network of Private Hospitals and practices across the UK.

Acute medical conditions are injuries, illnesses or diseases that are likely to respond quickly to treatment, leading to your full recovery and returning you to the state of health you were in before suffering the episode of ill health. Acute flare up’s of chronic conditions may also be covered – please speak to Aviva directly if you need any clarification.

Life Assurance

We don’t like to think of times when we won’t be around for our families but have to accept that this may be the case one day. We want to help you ensure that your families are taken care of if something was to happen and so we offer team members in management roles and above a Life Assurance benefit.

Life Assurance is a one-off payment that is paid to your nominated beneficiaries in the event of your death. This one-off payment is often a multiple of your basic salary (ie 4 x your basic salary).

Recognition Schemes

At Cromwell we actively encourage Team Members to celebrate one another’s successes through a peer to peer / management to team member recognition platform called ‘CromWOW!’

You can praise someone on the spot or nominate them to our Leaders to be considered as one of our ‘Team Members of the quarter!’

We also offer a Service Recognition scheme which begins by celebrating your 1 year anniversary with the business, then your 5th year and every 5 years thereafter. Gifts from the business include glass awards, chocolates, annual leave and an annual dinner.
