Team: A high‑performing HR team spanning Generalists, Reward, Payroll, Talent, HRBPs, Transactional Services
About the Role
We’re seeking a commercially astute Head of HR to help lead our people strategy and strengthen the impact of the HR function. This role is ideal for a confident generalist who thrives in fast‑paced environments and brings both strategic insight and hands‑on capability.
You’ll work closely with Senior Leaders to shape culture, build organisational capability, and ensure our people agenda drives business performance. Alongside the HR Director, you’ll provide day‑to‑day leadership across a multi‑discipline team and deliver practical, future‑focused HR solutions that make a real difference.
What You’ll Lead & Deliver
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Lead a cohesive, high‑impact people strategy aligned to business priorities.
- Provide commercial HR insight and partner closely with Finance on productivity, cost discipline and workforce planning.
- Influence organisational design, capability and cultural direction at senior levels.
Talent, Performance & Capability
- Embed a performance framework that raises standards and strengthens accountability.
- Drive succession planning and talent development to build future leadership capability.
- Support and coach leaders to elevate confidence and effectiveness.
Engagement, Culture & Communication
- Amplify colleague voice and drive a culture rooted in inclusion, curiosity and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen internal communication and champion a consistent, compelling colleague brand.
Change Leadership
- Play a key role in organisational transformation, including restructures, M&A integration and modernisation initiatives.
Employee Relations & Governance
- Oversee fair, consistent ER management and lead complex cases with appropriate legal input.
- Ensure HR policies are simple, compliant and enable strong performance.
HR Operations & Reward
- Ensure high‑quality HR operations that deliver a seamless colleague experience.
- Work with Reward to maintain frameworks that attract, retain and reward performance.
Data, Reporting & Improvement
- Use people analytics to shape decisions and track progress.
- Continuously improve HR systems, processes and reporting across all HR pillars.
Leadership & Team Development
- Support the overall leadership of the HR function and develop a confident, capable, future‑ready team.
- Role‑model strong leadership and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
What You’ll Bring
- Broad, senior‑level HR generalist experience in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong grounding in organisational design, workforce planning, performance, talent and engagement.
- Experience leading or influencing multi‑pillar HR teams.
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) desirable.
- A track record of navigating change with confidence.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for developing people and driving high performance.
