Website Search Specialist (6720)

The Onsite Search and Content Enrichment Editor role is key in the successful delivery of both the content strategies and enrichments which support Cromwell’s technical onsite search strategy.

Working in close collaboration with the digital search developers, the analytics team and the wider content and merchandising teams you will research and monitor search journeys to identify opportunities to drive search-led conversion optimisations.

You will also deliver supporting content enrichments which allow customers to further research, find, and buy with confidence and which drive commercial benefit, customer engagement and a competitive advantage.

Success is measured through a customer and commercial lens with KPIs aligned to team and business objectives.

What will you do on a normal day?

  • Analysing and interpreting onsite search data and trends to perform ongoing search tuning and adjustments
  • Providing recommendations on content related strategies to optimise and maintain search relevancy
  • Enriching key content elements to optimise onsite search performance to drive conversion
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to drive search-led conversion strategy optimisation
  • Researching, developing, and documenting workflows for onsite search improvement
  • Providing expertise on search optimisation for website improvement projects
  • Consulting with digital and IT teams on development, integration, and testing of suggested improvement solutions
  • Enriching and repurposing engaging multichannel product content
  • Communicating activity in a clear and timely manner including creating a monthly report to demonstrate the progress against KPIs
  • Taking risks, failing fast and identifying components of growth to replicate success
  • Using reporting dashboards to test, measure and learn from performance
  • Develop a close working relationship with peers and other areas of the business to share best practice, align activities and improve business performance
  • Promoting the search strategy throughout the business and to suppliers

What are we looking for?

  • eCommerce onsite search optimisation experience
  • Good understanding of both onsite and offsite search
  • Ability to put yourself in the customers’ shoes
  • Experience of using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker and Google Keyword Planner
  • Ability to analyse data and report on findings
  • Flexibility in managing new challenges / changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Being open to constructive feedback to evolve and improve
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Eager to work autonomously, use initiative, embrace challenges, and proactively seek new opportunities and innovations
  • Results orientated with a passion for digital
  • Ability to use knowledge and experience of external best practice to shape search plans, direction, and delivery
  • Desire to seek fresh solutions to reach business and personal objectives
